Option 1

DCA Airport to MD - limited Capitol Beltway/freeway time

(Airport to Alexandria, VA on to I-495-N/ I-95N, to Route MD-4 South) 63.5 miles

*You will encounter Old Town Alexandria, VA traffic and merge on the Capitol Beltway/interstate I-495N/I-95N for 10 miles, and Exit 11A Route MD-4/Pennsylvania Ave. You will then drive 45 miles through a tree-lined scenic route that takes you through Upper Marlboro, Dunkirk, Prince Frederick, and you arrive in Lusby, MD.

Airport to DC to MD

(From DCA Airport, this route takes you through downtown DC traffic and passes the U.S. Capitol. You will enter MD by taking Branch Ave --can be congested, US 301S, Route 5) - 66.2 miles

Airport to DC, US-50 E, US-301 S, MD-4 to Calvert County

(DCA Airport to George Washington Memorial Pkwy on to I-395N via Washington DC possible heavy traffic, on to US I-695E, Exit 2B for Hwy 295N to US-50 toward Annapolis, Merge US-301S to Richmond, merge on to Route MD-4 South for 38 miles of mainly scenic tree-lined route) 72.6 miles
